Voicee Terms of Use
In order to use the Voicee mobile app and the voic.ee website, you must understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:
- We (the Async.it Ltd team behind the Voicee app) promise to behave ourselves. We are building this service to make the world a more efficient place - not to track, cheat or spam people
- You must behave yourself too. Do not try to spam or harass people via our app (and otherwise too!)
- If you deliberately cause trouble, we will block you and you will go to hell
- We make no guarantees about the quality, correct functioning and continued availability of this service. We will be not liable for any damage that is caused (or you think is caused) by the Voicee app, website and service, regardless of whether it functions as advertised or not. It's a free service after all!
Voicee Privacy Policy
- We will not spam you. We do send out updates of new features and cool Voicee use cases by email, you can unsubscribe with a single click and never receive these mails again
- We will not sell or give your contact and usage info to to anyone (unless required otherwise by law). We only use this info for Voicee app purposes, so that you would have better experience talking to people
- We do not collect excessive information about you, what is not required for functioning of the Voicee app features:
- When logging in via Facebook or accessing your Facebook contacts, we only read your Facebook friends list (just Friend names) and no more details
- If using Facebook features, it asks for the "Access my data at any time" permission. This is not Voicee app specific, any app out there, which is not running in a web browser directly on facebook.com page, will require this
- We use Facebook only for authentication, listing your friends in contact list and inviting the contacts you choose to Voicee discussions. The Voicee messaging itself happens directly between the users mobile devices and Voicee servers, so Facebook can not track actual Voicee conversations other than the initial invite
- We do not upload your entire contacts list to our servers without asking you
- We do upload the details of a single contact you invite into a Voicee discussion to our server. This is needed for identifying whether your contact is already a Voicee user, so that the messages could be sent directly to the recipients Voicee app
- If you invite a new person into a Voicee discussion, we will send a special link in the invite message to that contact, either via a Facebook request, email or SMS, depending on what contact details are available for that person and what you chose to use. The recipient can click on the received link and play your message. Once the recipient starts using the Voicee app, all subsequent voice messaging will happen directly between the user mobile devices and Voicee servers - no more emails, SMSes and Facebook requests are exchanged
- All message transmission is secure - all connections are encrypted with 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption
- We remove your messages from the server 8 days after sending (they still remained cached in the sender and recipients apps)
- If you want to remove your account and data, please contact us at the support page and we'll do it for you
Note that The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of Voicee may change from time to time. Please check back periodically to see if there are any changes.
